It’s my day too…

Today is May Day. This day is synonymous with International Workers’ Day, or Labour Day, a day of political demonstrations and celebrations organised by the unions, political and socialist groups. Pictured here a ‘nattami’ who transfers goods from lorries to the shops in Pettah to earn his day’s living on a day set aside to honour the toil and sweat of many workers like him.
